Final Expense Plans Website Privacy Policy – Your Privacy Rights

Effective date Jan 11, 2025. This Privacy Policy applies to the sites and apps where it appears. This Policy describes how we treat personal information on the websites and apps where it is located. Your use of this website indicates that you agree to our collection, disclosure, and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. This includes Final Expense Plans auto, home and life insurance services. It also applies to our mobile sites and apps.

We collect information from and about you.

We collect contact information. For example, we might collect your name and street address if you register on our site or in our app. We might also collect your phone number or email address. If you choose to invite friends to download our app, we will collect their email address. We collect information you submit or post, including information you post in a public space on our site, and information we collect when you contact us. We collect demographic information such as gender, age, date of birth, marital status, and zip code.

We collect additional information depending upon which services you are interested in. For example, if you request information about car insurance, we will collect additional information including information about your vehicle. If you request information about home insurance, we will collect information about your homeowner status and the property where you live. If you request information about life insurance, we will collect information about your occupation, physical activity level, veteran status, tobacco use, DUI history, height and weight, and medical history.

We also collect usage and device/location information, such as the browser you’re using, referring sites, and, on our app, precise location using GPS and Wi-Fi, device identifiers, and driving habits collected via location services, accelerometer, screen on/off state, and gyroscope. You may also elect to provide us access to your device contact lists or other social media contact lists.

We collect information in different ways.

We collect information directly from you when you use our website, request insurance information, register for our app, or contact us. We also collect information passively using tracking tools like browser cookies and web beacons, both on our websites and in emails we send. We obtain information from third parties, such as business partners, insurance providers, credit reporting agencies, other data companies, and social media platforms, and we may combine that information with information we already have.

We use information as disclosed and described here.

We use information to respond to your requests or questions, to select and provide information about insurance products you may be interested in, to improve our products and services, for security purposes, and for marketing purposes. By submitting your email address and/or phone number to us, you authorize us to contact you periodically, including by the use of an auto-dialer and pre-recorded messages, concerning your quote requests, our services, and offers that may be of interest to you.

If you use our app, we allow Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT) to collect your driving habits and display them as a “driving score” in the app. We or CMT may pass your driving habits to our business partners, who create a separate “risk score,” which may be used together with your device ID and state of residence to select relevant insurance offers.

We may share information with third parties.

We share information with vendors and business partners who perform services on our behalf, including companies that operate our websites or app, or run a promotion. If you use our website or app we will share your information — including name, address, email, telephone number, and date of birth — with insurance companies or other third parties that may provide it to insurance companies for the purpose of offering you insurance. We will also share information if required to comply with the law, to protect ourselves, to investigate potential fraud, or in connection with a sale of all or part of our business.

Your choices.

You can opt out of receiving our marketing emails by emailing info@feplans.com or following the instructions in any promotional message. Even after opting out of marketing messages, you will still receive transactional messages. You may also request that we stop sharing your information with third parties for their marketing purposes by emailing us at the same address. You can control cookies and tracking tools through your browser settings and can control location and notification permissions through your device settings.

California consumers above the age of 16 have the right to opt out of these sales at any time, and we do not knowingly sell personal information about consumers under the age of 16. California residents have the right to request more information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, sold, or disclosed; request deletion of personal information; opt out of the sale of personal information; and be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.

We store information in the United States.

Information we maintain may be stored within the United States.
